The Saffirio family has farmed grapes in the Langhe district of Piedmont for five generations. In 1975, Josetta, for whom the estate is named, decided to make wine from the grapes the family had been cultivating, and in 1982, produced the estate's first Barolo. Josetta's daughter, Sara Vezza, took over operations in 1999 and remains the winemaker today.…
