Well, this was fun! It’s really a line-up of wholly different wines and vinous products — vermouth, sherry — on tap this week. The vermouth, by the way, is from Uruguay. There are also a couple of lightly chillable reds that would be perfect for Summer imbibing on picnics or with a casual dinner on a suburban back porch or an urban balcony. And a really good shiraz in case you’re grilling steaks or leg of lamb over hot coals. As usual with these Weekend Wine Notes, I eschew technical, historical and geographical information for the sake of brief reviews ripped, as it were, from the heaps of my scribbled notes. Anyway, enjoy! In moderation, of course.
