La Follette Wines produces small amounts of single-vineyard chardonnay and pinot noir from selected vineyards in Sonoma County’s major appellations. The focus is on bringing out the individual characteristics of the vineyards and their terroir. Winemaker is Hugh Chappelle, also winemaker for sister winery Quivira, which specializes in sauvignon blanc, zinfandel and Rhone grape varieties in Dry Creek Valley. Today, we look at two of La Follette’s single-vineyard pinot noirs.
