Tasting the first wines I receive from the previous year’s harvest always brings out a feeling of renewal and progression for me. Harvest was probably six or seven months ago, the wines were made, sometimes in stainless steel, sometimes with some neutral oak; they were bottled and sent out to writers like me and to the distributors around the country. And hence to retail stores. The cycle continues! Life and wine go on!
