I was standing in the checkout line at Fresh Market and noticed a display of rosé wines nearby. Right, get people on their way out, luring them with the myriad lovely hues of rosé wines from around the world. My eye was taken by a label decorated with a drawing of a somewhat triste-looking dog. Or maybe it’s angry. Or sleepy. The wine is named Rough Day, and it seems as if the canine thus depicted has had a pretty rough time of it. I picked up a bottle, searching for a region, appellation or country. The words at the bottle of the label were “Danube Plain.”
