I recently received a shipment of wine samples from the Margaret River region of Australia. This occurrence is significant because, back when I wrote a weekly print newspaper column that was distributed nationally by Scripps Howard, I received a ton of samples from Australia. When that column was deep-sixed in 2004 by a new editor, I switched to my first website and have stayed online ever since. The point is that after that time, the flow of sample wines from Australia dwindled to less than a dribble or drip; it faded to nothing — zero, zip, zilch.
