The brand in question is Cherry Pie Wines, a winery in California that produces only pinot noirs, primarily from single-vineyard sites. That name, to me, is on a par with the widely-available Layer Cake brand. Who would want their wines to resemble, in the least, a gooey, cloying cherry pie or super-sweet layer cake? Not I.
