Doing Gamay Right in Willamette Valley

My favorite red grape after pinot noir and grenache.

The full name of the gamay grape, its official moniker, so to speak, is gamay noir à jus blanc, so we’ll just go with gamay. As many of you know, gamay is the only red grape — or ‘black grape” — allowed is the red wines of Beaujolais, from the most common level to the 10 designated commune wines at the top.
