High-toned and impeccably made Napa Valley wines.

Goosecross Cellars is owned by Christi and Dave Ficeli. The winery is located in Yountville, Napa Valley, and is surrounded by its estate vines that comprise State Lane Vineyard. Winemaker is Bill Nancarrow. As my sub-head above implies, these are extremely well-made and thoughtful wines that embody, it seems to me, a seamless merging of place, time and grape variety. Expensive? Yep, especially the 2019 cabernet sauvignon reviewed below. Its stablemate chardonnay, from 2022, is somewhat less aspirationally priced. Wines that express such distinct character and personality don’t come cheaply.
