The Hansen-Lauer Brut Sekt 2021 hails from Germany’s Mosel River valley, from, in fact, the famous wine town of Bernkastel. The small estate from which it derives encompasses all of two hectares — a hair under five acres — overseen by third-generation winemaker Thomas Hansen. The winery produces about 1,200 cases annually.
