Fiol is a Prosecco project started by Gian Luca Passi and Giovanni Ciani Bassetti, who each come from families with generations of experience in Italy’s Veneto region where the sparkling wine is made. Consultant is famed winemaker Marzio Pol. The grape is the glera. The wines are made in the Charmat method of second fermentation in tank. Under consideration today are the stablemates, Fiol Rosé Prosecco and Fiol Extra Dry Prosecco. Both are highly enjoyable, stylish, clean, fresh, subtle and elegant.
